Gergely Szurgyi

Gergely Szurgyi was born in Hungary in 1994. He began playing the guitar at the age of nine, took private lessons for four years and attended Ede Roth's class at the Egressy Béni Conservatory from 2008. He completed his artistic guitar studies in 2019 at the Liszt Academy in Budapest and his master's degree at the Nuremberg University of Music in 2022. Gergely Szurgyi has been successful in numerous national and international competitions.

In addition to playing solo, he attaches great importance to chamber music. Together with friends, he founded the Tritonus Guitar Trio in 2015, which has achieved numerous successes since then. Their greatest achievement was winning the Guitar Foundation of America Ensemble Competition in Miami in 2019.

His first solo Album, "Scordatura" was published in 2024 and has been selected "Album of the year" in solo guitar category on nativedsd.com and also received the "Public Award" for getting the most votes in every category.

Since 2022, he has also been working for Hanika Guitars as a consultant and sales representative.
